Both former Royal Marine Commandos, whose journey started in 2009 whilst serving with UK Special Forces. Working in a job that placed huge demands on the body and mind, sparked a deep interest in health and human performance. After becoming sick and tired of the fads & misinformation they created The Natural Edge to help people build great health and maximise their potential. Now their awesome team of coaches are helping to achieve that mission.

Rachel Ann Hobbs

Clinically trained Dietitian specialising in lifestyle nutrition, with a post-grad from the International Olympic Committee, Ironman triathlete & currently holding a powerlifting record for Great Britain. Rachel is also qualified in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and commencing (another) post grad in Advanced Psychotherapy. Rachel’s nutrition course has been designed to educate and empower you to create long term positive eating habits that are sustainable.

Royal Marines PTI, who has worked with everyone from royalty to Hollywood actors & Olympic athletes, and coached North Face athletes who are pioneering the most extreme outdoor pursuits on the planet. As well as participating in some of the toughest multi-day running events on the planet. Ed’s programmes will provide the structure to challenge you, build resilience, integrate quality movement patterns, and create a fulfilling training experience.

David Tilston

Ex-Royal Marines Commando who then spent 6 years in the Fire and Rescue service, whilst becoming a fully qualified PT, Kettlebell Instructor and 500 hour Yoga teacher. David specialises in and teaches movement through a wide range of modalities including calisthenics, hand-balancing, mobility sequencing, yoga and martial arts. His knowledge will provide you with a comprehensive understanding and solid foundation for you to reach your goals whatever they are.

Yoga teacher who lives and breathes dynamic movement through a passion for yoga, longboarding, cycling and all sorts of adventures in the mountains! Christine specialises in sequencing training to complement other sports...CrossFit, running, surfing, climbing...make you more flexible, prevent injuries and improve recovery. Accompanying the team on TNE retreats she helps people develop mind & body toolkits to deal with whatever life decides to throw at you.

Tom Foxley

Through accumulating 10,000 hours of coaching athletes, becoming a Royal Marines Reservist and mentoring under sports psychologists, Tom has developed a system of mental mastery based in both cutting edge neuroscience and millennia-old philosophies. FAQs

What makes HERO different from other programmes?
Most of the time, when someone wants to feel more energetic and improve their focus, they might go to a general health coach, or perhaps a nutritionist. When they want to get stronger, they’d hire a strength coach. For general fitness and weight loss or muscle-building, they’d hire a personal trainer. And for the mental aspect, there are coaches out there who only cover that.

There’s nothing wrong with this approach necessarily, but it definitely makes the whole process a lot more complicated than it needs to be. And it’s a great deal more expensive if you’re paying 4 or 5 different people to look after your performance and wellbeing. Am I just going to be told what to do?

I am a beginner, is HERO suitable?
Yes the HERO Programme is designed to take you from the level you are currently at, no matter where that is, and optimise your health and fitness. The exercise programmes range from beginner to advanced and our coaches will put you on the right course for you goals after talking with you.

I am quite advanced, is HERO suitable?
Yes! Our coaches have experience working with elite athletes so even if you are a professional we can help get that last 1% and take you to the next level.

What is the format of the HERO Programme?
The programme is broken down into modules that deliver a combination of knowledge and actions. You can progress at a pace that works for you until you have fully integrated the habits you need for a healthy body and a strong mind. You will have daily support from our coaches and community every step of the way.

Do I need access to a gym?
It depends on what fitness programme you choose. We have programmes which you can do with very little equipment from home, all the way through to ones which will require a full gym set up.
